RM Launches New Newsletter
The RM of St. Francois Xavier has began publishing a periodic newsletter. You can find a link to the page under the "Municipal" button on the menu bar above.
Water Quality Improvements
Please be advised that the water provided by the Cartier Water Co-Op
changed, starting Monday, September 12th.
Be assured that the water
quality provided by the new ultra filtration and reverse osmosis process
will meet and exceed the quality previously delivered.
The main
difference users will notice is the water hardness level being reduced by
about 50%, which means:

Less soap will be needed in dishwashers, sinks, clothes washing machines, etc.

Home water softeners may not be needed; they certainly won't be worked so hard.
It will take several days for the ‘new’ water to replace the ‘old’ across the entire
system including the reservoirs. You may experience some intermittent water
discoloration during this time, and in the next few weeks, which is normal
and expected during water changeover.

New Zoning By-Law Approved
A new zoning by-law, to replace the 1997 zoning by-law, has been approved. The new by-law can be found here. Here are the links to associated map of the municipality and village.
2012 Budget
The 2012 budget is currently under development. Please check back for updates.
Secondary Plan
On February 22, 2011, Council adopted by-law 13-2010, which is a secondary plan for the village of St. François Xavier. The intent is to provide a plan for sustainable growth and infrastructure development within the village for the next 20 years. The document and accompanying map can be found here.

Water Utility Annual Report
The municipality is required to prepare an annual report on the water utility. The report for 2010 can be found here. The 2009 report is here and the 2008 report is here.
The water provided by the Municipal Water Utility is produced by the Cartier Regional Water Co-op Inc. (CRWCI) at its plant near St. Eustache. The annual reports produced by the Co-op are here: 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.

Emergency Preparedness
The Emergency Management Board of the Rural Municipalities of Headingley, St. Francois Xavier and Cartier are canvassing for volunteers to take on positions within the Municipal Emergency Plan. Click here for more information.
White Horse Plains Planning District
